News and Blog stories:
CSTV Preview: Includes all of your need to knows.

The State News sports blog (student newspaper): "Personally, I don’t think MSU head coach Tom Izzo has much to worry about." Shut it.

Spartans Weblog: Player to watch Al Nolen.

Gopher Nation: Predicts eight point Spartan win.

Down With Goldy: "This is not going to be pretty." Also includes photo of MSU cheerleaders!

Rivals: "Coaching Legends Square Off." Just a brief.

From The Barn
: You can tell the blogger really wanted to pick the Gophers but thought better of it: "But I still think the Gophers can win, I don’t think they will, but its possible."

The Realests: Michigan State Big Ten preview which includes three reasons for pessimism, which I translate into three reasons why the Gophers can pull off a victory.

MVN Insider Preview: "Michigan St. has been very vulnerable to the three point shot this season, so Minnesota sharpshooter Lawrence McKenzie could be the Gophers biggest threat on Saturday."

Big Ten Chronicle: Predicts 10 point Spartans win.

Lansing State Journal: Michigan State has chance at fast start.

Star Tribune: Media notes by Judd Zulgad touches on the Big Ten Network fiasco.

Star Tribune: Everyone's favorite Gophers beat reporter Myron Medcalf previews the Big Ten opener by introducing us to everyone in Dan Coleman's family. I'll say this: At least Myron wrote something.

Star Tribune: Patrick Reusse lets Spencer Tollackson give us a look at his teammates.

Pioneer Press: Marcus Fuller has a nice article on what the Gophers must do to reach the NCAA Tournament. Twenty wins doesn't mean what it used to mean. Fuller is quickly becoming PJS' go-to beat reporter.

Exactly how many hours are there in your day? Very well done! Thank you for your thoroughness.

Not enough. I'm really pissed Mrs. PJS refused DVR service, because tonight I'd like to watch the Presidential Debates and the Gophers contest. Of course, I have priorities. Tubby Smith's first Big Ten game outweighs the decision of who will lead the free world.
